The face of betrayal!

In the face of betrayal !

Again and again, Andargachew Tsige appears to be positioning himself in service of the Abiy Ahmed-led Oromuma government. It is troubling to think that Andargachew and Namin Zeke were once presented as figures capable of unifying the Fano movement. Difficult to accept, yet increasingly easy to suspect. Nevertheless, many people now believe they understand why these rumors and controversies were circulated continuously, day after day.
There has also been what many supporters describe as a sustained character assassination campaign against Eskinder Nega, carried out without justification. According to this view, certain actors connected to Fano-affiliated media networks allocated resources to cyber campaigns and spread accusations intended to weaken his standing among the people.
A serious question continues to be raised: why has the leadership of the Amhara people’s existential struggle increasingly been associated with Andargachew Tsige rather than with Eskinder Nega? Many believe that deliberate efforts have been made to separate the Fano struggle from the people themselves, allowing Andargachew to emerge as a political representative of the Amhara cause.
By contrast, Eskinder Nega is regarded by many supporters as a loyal son of the Amhara people — a man who has devoted himself to their cause and who continues to participate directly in the struggle on the ground today.
Critics further argue that Fano was denied the opportunity to choose its own leadership through its own internal and hierarchical decision-making structures. Instead, they say, leadership was effectively handed to Andargachew Tsige, despite past statements attributed to him that many Amhara nationalists considered dismissive of Amhara identity.
For many supporters of the movement, these developments remain painful and unresolved, and they continue to demand a clear explanation from Fano leaders regarding the direction, representation, and leadership of the struggle
